Milton Charles (Chuck) Golden
Milton Charles (Chuck) Golden, 92, of Fort Myers Beach, FL passed away on May 5, 2020. Chuck was born in Baltimore, MD on December 19, 1927, the son of Charles Golden and Mary Beatrice Blair. For most of his young life he was raised by his Aunt, Florence Blair. He was active in the Boy Scouts before and after his service in the U.S. Navy. Upon discharge from the Navy, he married the love of his life, Marjorie Rose Cohan on October 22, 1949. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary.
Chuck attended Loyola College and Johns Hopkins University. In Baltimore, he worked in accounting and computers until his retirement when they moved to Florida. He spent much of his life giving to others by volunteering at the church, the hospital, the Salvation Army and serving meals to the homeless. He enjoyed working at several ballparks for the Baltimore Colts, the Baltimore Orioles, the Minnesota Twins and the Miracles. He was fortunate to have visited many states and foreign countries with his wife.
For Chuck, the most important things were his faith, his family and his friends.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his son, Robert and wife Gail and their two children, Haley and Kyle; his daughter Patricia and husband Monroe and her son Cameron; and one great-grandson, Nico. He was pre-deceased by his grandson, Conner.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Marfan Foundation at 22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050.
