City’s Human Resources director to retire
Wayne Howard, the city of Cape Coral’s Human Resources director, has announced that he will retire at end of April. Howard informed City Manager Gary King Monday morning that his last day with the city will be April 30.
Howard was hired as HR director on April 3, 2006. He will be returning to his hometown in Columbia, MD where his children reside. Howard’s annual salary is about $108,000.
King will be working with Howard during the next few weeks to establish a transition plan for the Human Resources Department.
“I appreciate Wayne’s five years of service to the City of Cape Coral,” said King in a prepared statement. “I wish him the best as he returns to his family and friends in the Baltimore area.”
