Weapons, Cadillac stolen from Cape home

Nine guns were reported stolen Tuesday from a Cape Coral home.
Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 3400 block of Southwest 22nd Place, according to a report. A man stated that he returned home at about 4:45 p.m. and found the garage door open and his gun safe open.
The front of the safe was cut open and the lock dial was cut off.
The safe contained 31 firearms. Nine guns were missing, including a firearm that the man kept in his bedroom.
The guns included two Winchester rifles and two Remington rifles, a Mauser rifle, a Miroku shotgun, a Sharps Carbine rifle, a Spencer Carbine rifle and a Taurus pistol. The firearms are valued at about $85,000, the report states.
The safe was valued at about $1,000.
Also missing was a white, 1997 Cadillac from the garage, according to the report. The vehicle has a tag of B735TS and is worth approximately $7,000.
A kitchen window had been broken in the home, police noted.
