Variety of Books
We like to offer a wide variety of books to read or audios to listen to. Libraries are the last democratic institution. If you ask, “What should I read next?” we like to suggest three titles. One is probably pretty close to the one you loved. The second is a little different, a bit of a stretch. The third book is the real stretch book, the reach book. It might be a non-fiction book when you only look at Westerns or Gentle Fiction otherwise.
Go to www.fmb.lib.fl.us, click on Electronic Resources, then click on Databases. Click ‘here’ at top of first column. If searching from home rather than in the library, type in your library card #. Go to bottom of listing and click on ‘Books & Authors.’ This combines over 140,000 titles and thousands of read-alike, award and favorite titles and is a helpful way to discover titles worth reading.
Library Hours
Don’t remember library hours? When we are closed, a recorder gives the hours on 765-8162 or on 765-8163. Except for holidays, we are open Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9 to 5; and Saturday 9-1. We look forward to seeing you.
