Opportunity knocks at FMBAA
For anyone who has ever thought about playing with crayons, markers, colored paper, paints and just messing around with stuff, junk or whatever you want to call it, this is a great chance to do just that.
You probably have lots of stuff to play with around the house. You can learn to make a spectacular piece of art to hang on your walls, give away or even enter an art show and win a prize you never know.
Don’t be afraid it’s fun to experiment and we will have a wonderful teacher to show us how it can all work but most of all be fun.
This fantastic person is world-renowned artist Lana Grow who will guide us toward a whole new experience. You will be amazed at your own creativity.
Lana is one of our famous artists who is coming to the Fort Myers Beach Art gallery to teach her experimental and energizing workshop on Feb. 21-25. She will be doing a demo on Sunday, Feb. 20, prior to her workshop from 4-6 p.m. The demo is open to the public and the cost is $10, but it is free for those signing up for her workshop.
There are applications on the website www.fortmyersbeachart.com or you can stop by the gallery at the corner of Donora and Shell Mound. Call 463-3909 for an application and more information about Lana Grow.
