Reader discusses “Entrepreneurial Salvation”

By Staff | Jul 29, 2009

To the editor:

During tough times, it’s easy to point the finger and accuse others for business downturns. Moaning for many seems easier than getting up off the floor and utilizing creativity in what is in fact a battle for business survival.

Factually, when we stop weeping, and we forget the pie-in-the-sky theories, we then find ourselves able to deal with the practical problems that need solving yesterday.

Determination sets in and, coupled with creativity, any business will be fueled by an unstoppable passion to succeed. There is a theory that business organizations have a tendency to follow the pattern of the human organism: birth, growth, development, plateau, slow decline…and finally demise. Not all follow the pattern, but too many do to simply ignore it. Those that thrive and survive actively subscribe to creativity, innovation and change. Yes, creativity is the answer. Sulking, being accusatory or inaction will only serve to hasten the business demise.

If you cannot develop a plan to overcome the dangerous tough times, reach out, find a professional who can focus on the innovation required to save your business, before it’s too late.
