Jim Anderson
Fort Myers Beach resident Jim Anderson died April 13, 2009, in Hope Hospice at Health Park Circle after a short illness. He was 78.
Born Sept. 19, 1930 in Rockford, Ill. to Arthur and Nellie Anderson, Anderson married Lois Carter in St. Augustine, Fla. on May 6, 1974. He was an army veteran who served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Anderson; sons, Rocky (Gwen) Anderson of Roscoe, Ill., and Jim Anderson of Rockford, Ill.; daughter, Janette (Matt) Juric; grandchildren, Grant Anderson, Skylar Juric, Andrew Juric, Kimberly Rendall, Heather Frost, Jennifer Fechtner, Stephanie Tuinstra; six great grandchildren; and step daughters, Kathryn Henry & Barbara Tuinstra. Predeceased by his granddaughter, Laura Beth Anderson.
Service was held at 11 a.m. April 18, 2009 at Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home 304 N. 5th St. Rockford, IL 61107 with visitation at 10 a.m. Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Donations were contributed to Hope Hospice Home at Health Park Circle.
