VIN Unit arrests two, seizes drugs, guns at northeast Cape home

Two Cape Coral residents face multiple charges after investigators serving a warrant on a northeast Cape home discovered drugs and weapons.
Cape Coral detectives with the Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics Unit executing a search warrant at 2201 N.E. 15th Ave on Thursday arrested Howard D. Webb, 28, and Lisa Danielle Matthews, 27. Each was charged with three felony counts for possession, officials said Friday. In addition, Matthews was charged with two felony counts for altering the serial numbers on two firearms that were confiscated. Both suspects had additional misdemeanor drug charges as well.
Detectives with the VIN Unit serving the warrant entered the home at 5:30 p.m. Detectives confiscated 274.6 grams of marijuana, 23.8 grams of cocaine, two Ecstasy pills and two firearms with the serial numbers removed, officials said. Detectives also found brass knuckles, a stun gun and a false Pepsi can used for concealing items. In addition to the guns and drugs, police collected $891 in cash and a drug sale ledger.
The VIN Unit was assisted by Cape Police officers with the SWAT team, K-9 Unit and Street Crimes Unit. This is the third drug-related operation executed by the VIN Unit in the past week.
Webb, of 2201 N.E. 15th Ave., was cahrged with Possession of Cocaine w/Intent to Sell; Possession of Ecstasy; Possession of Marijuana w/Intent to Sell; Possession of Marijuana (less than 20 grams); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (six counts) and Possession of Firearms w/Serial Number Removed (two counts), according to Cape Coral police.
Matthews, also of 2201 N.E. 15th Ave. was charged with Possession of Cocaine w/Intent to Sell; Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Ecstasy; Possession of Marijuana w/Intent to Sell; Possession of Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (six counts) and altering a Serial Number on a Firearm (two counts)
