Robbery suspects sought
Lee County sheriff’s deputies are looking for two gunmen who robbed a Citgo gas station in Fort Myers Friday morning.
Deputies were called to the Citgo at 12516 Palm Beach Boulevard at 6:37 a.m. in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with individuals standing outside the gas station who informed investigators they had just been robbed.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit assumed the investigation.
Detectives learned from the victims that two men entered the business with firearms. The suspects proceeded to take wallets from two individuals before exiting the business and robbing a third victim in the parking lot outside the store. Witnesses state the suspects then fled northbound on Davis Boulevard in a white 4-door style Dodge or Ford pickup truck.
Nothing was taken from the store, and none of the victims were injured.
Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 6’0“, 175 lbs. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 5’4”, 125 lbs. Both suspects are believed to be in their early 20s. Both individuals were described as wearing ski masks, black shirts, black pants, gloves, and black high-top style shoes with no socks.
