The results of a preliminary investigation indicate that the death of a man whose body was discovered near a Cape intersection this morning likely was caused by an act of suicide.
Robert Dean Murray, 71, was found dead this morning near the intersection of Diplomat Parkway and Burnt Store Road. Police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a body at that location shortly after 9 a.m.
The investigation is continuing, and police are awaiting a final report from the Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the cause of death.
