Art bazaar at local association

By Staff | Mar 10, 2009

Paintings from artists with the Fort Myers Beach Art Associaton will be hanging on clothes lines for the annual outdoor sale of work held on the gallery grounds on Donora Street.

Artists have gathered their original unframed art for the sale, which starts at 9 a.m. on Sunday March 15 and ends at 3 p.m.

Coffee and baked goods will be available inside the gallery as well as additional art and many original notecards. Funds raised by this sale help to support the scholarships given to senior art students from Cypress Lake High School.

The family of Maya Bryant has donated her paintings to benefit FMBAA and the programs it supports. They will be available both inside and outside. Also on sale are framed paintings done by famous artists Mary Ann Beckwith; Sue Archer, Miles Batt, and Peter Spataro. Profits from these paintings go directly to the scholarship program.

The art bazaar is an excellent chance to purchase a painting done by a local artist of a local scene.

The gallery is located on Donora and Shellmound, at the blinking light off Estero Blvd. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday -Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
