Local contractor holds fund raiser
B & I Contractors, Inc., a full service mechanical. electrical and plumbing company which has served the Lee County area since 1960, is sponsoring “Bowling for Babies” Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. at Pin Street (formerly Galaxy Lanes) at 4140 Fowler Street.
The event, which raised $20,000 last year, is an afternoon of bowling and fun to benefit the March of Dimes in its fight to save babies from birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
The cost is $35 per person and includes three games of bowling and shoe rental. There will be a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction and prizes for first place team, top male and female bowlers and bowler with the lowest score.
“We are grateful for all the time and effort Autumn Spalding and the staff at B & I spends to ensure a fun and succesful event,” said Regina Toops, Lee County Community Director at the March of Dimes. “This year, more than ever because of the economy, we need everyone in the community to come out and support this event that benefits babies.”
