Book signing to benefit Oak Hammock school
Dec. 5, John Tkac, author of “Whispers from the Bay” will be presenting and signing copies of his book at the Oak Hammock Middle School Book Fair.
The Book Fair will be held at Barnes & Noble in the Coconut Point Shopping Center, 23130 Fashion Drive, Estero.
Vouchers will be handed out that when used, will provide cash rewards to Oak Hammock Middle School in Fort Myers.
There will be many activities at the book fair, such as a drawing contest and a display of student’s art work.
Tkac will be doing several readings along with autographing copies of his book. In addition, there will be posters and book marks to be handed out for free.
The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and the admission is free.
The story is based in Florida and written by a Floridian.
One child said that “Whispers from the Bay” is “the best book I ever read. It’s like Harry Potter from the Keys!”
