Panthers basketball kicks off with much to prove this season

Thaddeus Deitriech of Paradise Realty welcomed guests to a open house celebrating the completion of the first floor of a upscale condominium and resort facility on Old San Carlos Boulevard last week.

Deitriech said he is excited that the project, named Harbour House at the Inn, is now beginning to take shape.

“We’re doing an open house to present it to the island and Realtors,” he said. “Because of what’s happening out in the market place I wanted to quell any kind of rumors on this. It’s a very successful project, we’re having a great time with it and we’re expecting a great season coming up.”

Phase one of the three-phase project will have 34 condominiums that will be completed next year, Deitriech said, adding that once all phases are complete, the resort will have a total of 98 condominiums, conference center, fitness center, swimming pool, spa, observation deck, boat docks and restaurant.

“The Matanzas Inn Restaurant will be an anchor for the entire project and right here on the corner on First Street and Old San Carlos we anticipate a new Dockside Restaurant, which is one of our island’s faithfuls,” Deitriech said, adding that if customers miss the famous Dockside pizza it is available now at the Matanzas Inn baked from the same pizza oven.

Deitriech said the first phase of the project is scheduled for completion by September of 2009, adding that pre-construction prices are in effect.

“If you purchase now there’s availability for some expenses to be covered through the signing of a 30-month lease back program for investors,” Deitriech said. “We’ve made it advantageous for people to park their dollars.”

Condominium pricing range from $259,000 for a 420 sq. ft. studio to a 900 sq. ft. 2-bedroom, two-bath for $489,000.
