Alexander B. Russell, 93, of Gaines, Mich., formerly of Cape Coral, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at his residence.

He was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Gladden, Pa., the son of Alexander and Annie (Brodie) Russell.

Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Fields and Rebecca Middleton; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Russell; and two grandsons, Mark and Scott Middleton.

The funeral will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Mich.

The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesys Hospice.
