‘Spooktacular Ghost Tour’ on tap for Oct. 26

Lee County students have banded together to offer a "Spooktacular Ghost Tour"?back into Fort Myers' past. The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and The Sidney & Berne Davis Arts Center will be hold the inaugural Wicked Walk on Friday, Oct. 26.

The walk will step off at the Sidney Berne Davis Art Center from 6 to 10 p.m. with Wicked Walk tours occurring every 20 minutes.

Nearly 200 students from Cypress Lake High Center for the Arts, Estero High, Fort Myers High, North Fort Myers High, and Riverdale High will participate in this event, making it the largest original artistic collaboration among Lee County Schools.

The theme of the Wicked Walk, Walking Shadows, will take attendees back in time to visits "ghosts" of Lee County's past and will feature theatric, musical, and creative art performed by Lee County students at multiple stations.

The ticketed walk-through event is open to the public and all proceeds will be split between The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center to support art education in the School District of Lee County.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children.

"The combination of schools collaborating, the colorful history of our area as subject matter and the amazing talent of the performers and visual artists has produced an experience new to Lee County that I think everyone will enjoy," said Patty Gair, dance teacher at Cypress Lake High Center for the Arts and art director of The Wicked Walk in a prepared statement. "As usual, teachers and students go way beyond expectations, providing audiences with an amazing historical, artistic and fun experience."
