Bay Oaks to host “End of Summer Bash” Friday
That’s right – it’s already August.
Bay Oaks Recreational Center is inviting the community to come have fun and celebrate the summer this week.
This Friday, Aug. 3, it will host an End of Summer Bash that is free to the public and an all-day event, beginning at 10 a.m.and ending at 6 p.m.
Danielle Felton, program coordinator, said there will be water games, a water slide and a slip and slide – so be prepared to get cooled off in the summer heat!
Love Boat has donated free ice cream.
Also on site Friday, Panira Clinic of Naples will be performing school and sports health exams.
The school exam is the physical students have to receive annually before heading back to school; it costs $20. The sports exam is geared toward students planning to sign up for sports; it’s $10.
This week’s summer campers will be participating in the day-long activities. Bay Oaks had 50 campers enrolled in its weekly summer camp programs.
“We’re sad to see them go back to school, but wanted to give them an event to remember,” Felton said.
Bay Oaks is located at 2600 Oak Street, Fort Myers Beach.
