A Fort Myers Beach boat owner is hoping the public can help them locate their boat after it was stolen from their dock this weekend.

Jason Quilling said his 2018 Chris Craft Catalina, a cream and dark blue boat valued at $300,000, was stolen from his dock this weekend while he was out of town.

According to the surveillance video from the dock, the theft happened late Friday night. There were two men seen on the video as they broke into the electrical box on the boat lift.

The boat was docked at Quilling’s home on Bayside Road on Fort Myers Beach. He believe the thief traveled south, past Snook Bight Marina.

Quilling and his family are asking any home or business owners who have surveillance cameras facing the bay to check their footage for late Friday and early Saturday morning to see if their boat can be seen, or anyone who might remember seeing the boat or something strange, to get in touch with them.

Quilling only owned the boat for a few weeks; it is not named. Anyone with any information can call Quilling at 612-290-7768.

Quilling is working with authorities to locate his boat, and is offering a $20,000 reward for its return.
