The Lee County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a homicide on Fort Myers Beach.

Undersheriff Carmine Marceno held a press conference today to update the public about the recent crime at the Snug Harbor Marina Village tower at 640 block of Old San Carlos Blvd.

Pamela Hutchinson, 59, was found deceased April 9. She had died from a fatal gunshot wound, Marceno said.

The Sheriff's Office released these photos of suspect Lois Riess.

In addition, her purse was in a disarray, with cash, credit card and identification cards stolen, as well as her vehicle, a white 2005 Acura TL with Florida plate number Y37TAA.

Hutchison was the victim because of her appearance.

The Sheriff's Office identified Lois Ann Riess, 56, as the possible suspect in Hutchison's murder. Riess is wanted in Dodge County, Minnesota, for the suspected murder of her husband.

Riess selected Hutchison because of their similarity in appearance, Marceno said.

"Her mode is to steal the ID of women who look like her," Marceno said. "She is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached."

Based on their investigation, Marceno said the Sheriff's Office believes Riess has now fled the Southwest Florida area and is believed to be in the Corpus Christi, Texas.

Riess is a white female with blonde hair and is about 5' 5", 160 pounds. She may be using Hutchinson's ID.
