Historic Society welcomes biologist for March meeting

March's public meeting is the final meeting of the Estero Island Historic Society fr the 2017-2018 season.

The meeting will be held Monday, March 12 at 7 the Fort Myers Beach Library, featuring "Sea Shells: Treasures of the Caribbean" with guest speaker Robert Masino.

Robert Masino is an award-winning biologist who over the past three decades has roamed and prodded into almost every sea cave, marine cliff and sandy substrate of the Caribbean (logging nearly 3,000 night dives). His abilities as a photographer are renowned, and exceeded only by the excellence of his scientific observations.

If you are an amateur conchologist with a yen for collecting, this talk will inspire you. If you appreciate beautiful shells, the photographs will seduce you into learning more about these extraordinary creations of nature.
