The coffee shop at 1740 Estero has a new owner and a new look.

Brian Lavey opened MoJoe's Coffee Bar in the late fall, serving up a full menu of coffee favorites, breakfast and lunch.

The menu features breakfast staples like omelets, bagels, and waffles, and lunchtime sandwiches. Consultant Steve DeAngelis said the cafe tries to use healthy or organic ingredients whenever possible; the most popular items are the biscuits and gravy and hot Italian grinder sandwich.

The coffee shop got a whole new look when it opened in the fall.

MoJoe's is open daily from 7 to 2 p.m.

Smoothies, tea and coffee drinks are available to keep beach-goers caffeinated. So far, the caramel macchiato is the most popular warm drink; the speciality cold brew is the perfect hot-day refresher.

"It's been a huge hit down here," De Angelis said.

The indoor area is still cozy, but patrons have full use of the patio in the front and side of the cafe, giving everyone plenty of room. DeAngelis said about 100 people can be seated with both in and outdoor options.

On the run? Call 314-5575 ahead, DeAngelis said. MoJoe's will prepare your to-go order, and everything's boxed up in decomposable containers.
