Mixed Raider Team takes National Championship

North Fort Myers High School's Mixed Raider Team won its second National Championship in a row at the JROTC Raider National Championships in Molena, Georgia Saturday.

The competition attracted the best of the best Army JROTC programs from around the country. More than 80 teams competed in five timed events: an obstacle course, cross country rescue, rope bridge, 5k team run and physical team test.

The JROTC Program in Lee County has an enrollment of 5,700 cadets in 14 Schools. The Mission of the JROTC Program is to motivate young people to be better citizens.
