Keep Lee County Beautiful, Community Foundation host International Coastal Cleanup 2017

Don't worry about grabbing your gloves and bags: the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation will have you covered.

Keep Lee County Beautiful's annual International Coastal Cleanup Day is set for Saturday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m.to noon. Spread across multiple beaches, volunteers are being called to help clean up the beach and pick up trash. In the last five years, more than 11,000 volunteers through KLCB have collected 90,000 pounds of trash.

The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation is coordinating to pass out supplies, water and snacks at the Fort Myers Beach Elementary School during registration. They'll also keep track of the bags collected.
