August 3, 2016
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

Nonprofit organization ACT will hold a 30-mile motorcycle ride and brunch Sunday, Aug. 21, to raise funds for programs for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Motorcyclists across the State are invited to join the 30-mile trip around Lee County to raise funds for ACT in honor of David Barbur, a former Sunrise Rotary Club "Rotarian" and ACT Board member who led a remarkable life of service in the Fort Myers community.

The ACT Motorcycle Ride will raise funds for ACT to continue providing meaningful program services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Lee, Hendry, and Glades counties. The ride is $20 per person.

"ACT is so appreciative to work with both Keylime Bistro and Six Bends Harley-Davidson, our event sponsors, to promote a peaceful ride in honor of the legacy our friend David Barbur, left behind of caring for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, as well as human trafficking," said Jennifer L. Benton, chief executive officer with ACT. "We hope to raise at least $5,000 this year for critical infrastructure projects."
