As if we would have expected anything less, it was yet another stellar performance by internationally touring super-group Brit Floyd, known as "The World's Greatest Pink Floyd Show," when they rocked the audience of the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall last Thursday evening.

Following its hugely successful 150-concert date tour around the globe last year, Brit Floyd returned to North America to continue its amazing journey through 50 years of Pink Floyd, and the vast and incredible catalogue of music they have given us.

Along with crowd favorites of Dark Side's "Us and Them," "The Great Gig in the Sky," "Time" and "Money," among others; The Wall's "Happiest Days of Our Lives," "Another Brick in the Wall," "Comfortably Numb," and "Run Like Hell," among others; and Animals' "Pigs (Three Different Ones) complete with giant floating red-eyed pig; and multiple tracks from the Division Bell; the dynamic group also performed a beautiful rendition of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V), and complete 22-minute track of "Echoes" from the classic rock band's Meddle album.

All in all, it was a full 2.5 hours of classic Pink Floyd sights and sounds, featuring two full sets and a two-song encore of "Wish You Were Here"?and "Run Like Hell." The crowd gave standing ovations on far more than one occasion, including the glorious solos of the band's lyrical ladies, including that amazing part during "The Great Gig in the Sky."

The light show between the multiple LED and laser lights, and the enormous projection screen behind the band, completed the true time-warped musical experience. And as delicious as the icing on the cake, as always, the band was happy to meet and greet fans, sign autographs and take photos after the show by the merch table. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to see this group in person and you consider yourself a Floyd fan, be sure you take the opportunity to see them during their next tour. In the meantime, you can always find the band online, BritFloyd.com, or find them on Facebook to pick up some of their recent albums, DVDs or fan merch.
