Path to Tranquility -- Local esthetician expands her health and wellness practice

April 6, 2016

Ellie Sandler has been a pillar of the Southwest Florida health and wellness industry for nearly 20 years, bringing soothing relief to thousands in her Well Kneaded Massage Therapy business, one happy client at a time. Now, she is very excited to announce that she has added an entire list of skin care services to her regimen, from simple facials and scrubs to vigorous rejuvenation treatments all in a one-stop-shop from her very peaceful, tranquil and relaxing studio, 11595 Kelly Road, Suite 318.

"I have been a licensed esthetician since 1987 but have only recently started taking it serious," Ellie explained. "As I see my skin aging, I knew I wanted to learn how to make it better. I heard about a treatment called micro-needling so I got it done and was so amazed by the result I learned how to do it. That treatment is what inspired me to open my new studio."

She shares some of the many services provided, "In my new skin care office, I offer facials, face-lifting massage, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, powerderm (a great resurfacing treatment), LED light treatments and micro-needling, which promotes collagen production."

Ellie was always one to continue learning and growing, adding more and more health and wellness certifications and licenses under her belt. Her latest treatment is the micro-needling facial, which breathes new life into aging skin. "The process has been shown to reduce the visibility of acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, diminish hyperpigmentation, and improve skin tone and texture, resulting in smoother, firmer, younger looking skin," she said.

Also in her new skin care studio is the Migun Thermal Massage Bed, a device that brings pure comfort to those who utilize it. "The migun thermal bed combines acupuncture, chiropractic, massage and infrared therapy to provide you with a deep warm and relaxing massage," Ellie said. "It gives your spine a soothing stretch while stimulating acupressure points, blood vessels and muscles to accelerate and improve blood circulation and posture. The migun thermal bed uses jade massage heads to conduct infrared heat and create therapeutic massage from head to toe."

Clients may pop in to use the Migun bed on its own for a quick relaxation tool, or add it to additional services provided by the esthetician and massage therapist.

"I have been working in the Fort Myers Beach area since 1998, mainly focusing on massage therapy. I also offer Swedish/therapeutic massage, essential energy massage and my specialty is the LuminEsscence face-lifting massage, which I created and teach to other massage therapists," Ellie said.

Well Kneaded's skin care services range from about $45 and up, and package deals (which may also include massage therapy services, if so desired) are available, as well as monthly specials and gift certificates to share the wellness with others. "April's special is a Power-derm facial for $45, which is usually $75. Email me and I'd be happy to add you to my mailing list, info@weallneedtobekneaded.com."

Well Kneaded Massage Therapy and Skin Care hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those wishing to enjoy Ellie's services are asked to call and make an appointment, 239-985-0262.
