Its first local benefit concert, the Rock Angel Society is hosting an all-night rock show featuring the national headlining act of the Lynch Mob, along with 10,000 Views, the Cadaver Dolls (out of Tampa), Modern Superstar and Bite the Bullet, Saturday, April 2, at the Englewood Event Center, 3069 S. McCall Road, with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Joe Devito, organizer of the event and founder of the Rock Angel Society, is eager to host a fantastic display of metal music both straight-up 80s heavy metal and modern metal from which it expanded.

"These are all really great bands, and it's going to be a phenomenal show," he said. "Proceeds from the show will go to the Rock Angel Society, raising funds for cancer research at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital."

The cost to attend is $25 in advance, $30 at the door. To purchase in advance, visit EnglewoodEvent or call 941-270-3324. There is no cost for parking at the event center.

If any Fort Myers Beach area residents are interested in organizing a caravan or bus charter to the show, call the Beach Bulletin office, 239-765-0400, and leave your information.
