The Michael DeCarlo Foundation is proud to host its inagurual Royal Casino Night Gala, raising funds for the Lee County Sheriff's Youth Athletic League and the CCMI Lee County Soup Kitchen, taking place at the DiamondHead Beach Resort and Spa Saturday, Jan. 9, beginning at 6 p.m. with an appetizer and cocktail hour.

All are welcome to participate, and as this is a gala affair, those attending are invited to dress up and enjoy the evening. Try your luck at the tables beginning at 7 p.m., with blackjack, three-card poker, seven-card stud, Omaha, five-card draw, seven-card draw, Let It Ride, Texas Hold 'Em, roulette and craps all at your fingertips along with Chinese auctions available to visit and bid on throughout the night.

"We are moving along great so far and proud to kick this new year off with a gala event to help the Michael DeCarlo Foundation support these very important charities of the Lee County Sheriff's Youth Athletic League and the CCMI Lee County Soup Kitchen," said Lena Neroni, gala coordinatator and vice president of the charity foundation. "Both of these programs are deeply in need, and this is just simply the most fun way to donate."

Have fun dressing to the nines while raising funds for these great local charities. For $75 per person, guests will receive 2,500 chips to use that evening, as well as complimentary appetizers from the appetizer buffet throughout the evening, and two drink tickets. Also, for those purchasing tickets in advance (deadline is noon Friday), you'll receive an additional 500 chips.

Lena explains how the Chinese auction works. "We have 10 prizes to choose from in the Chinese auction, ranging in value from $200 to $500. As people decide on which of the prizes they like to win throughout the night, at the end of the evening, all chips will be converted to raffle tickets, and each of the prizes will have bags in front of them. Gala guests can then drop however many tickets they want into whichever prize bags they'd like a chance to win. They can place as little as one ticket in each prize bag or as many as they have or split their winnings into whichever prizes they want a chance to win it's up to them. We will then pick a raffle ticket from each prize bag and that ticket wins the prize."

Also, Lena said the DiamondHead Resort is offering a 10 percent discount on your hotel stay to anyone who comes to the Casino Night event who would like to stay the evening.
