Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

You've seen them performing at The Whale, you've seen them performing at the Lani Kai, you've probably seen them performing at volunteer benefits and festivals around town, too. 10,000 Views is a non-stop three-piece rock band that brings high energy, wild skill and super talent to the stage, but one thing you haven't been able to do is bring a little piece of their music home with you after the show. Well, now you can be sure to make it out to the Buddha Nightclub, 12701 McGregor Blvd., Saturday night, Nov. 29, as 10,000 Views rocks an all-night debut CD release party to celebrate their latest accomplishment, kicking off at 10 p.m. Enjoy free entry, drink specials and 10,000 Views merch offered at bargain basement prices all night long.

We've been working hard on this release and it is truly magnificent we are very, very proud of it it really turned into a great product," said Stet Howland, drummer/vocalist of the group, along with John Hyatt (guitar/bass/vocals) and Timmy Johnston (lead vocals/guitar/bass). "I've done 60+ records in my career and this is quite possibly the best. It's a good, solid, professional product: It's got energy, the production is clean and clear, the tones are pretty and the songs just rock. This isn't just your normal local rock band album."

The nearly one hour of rock was perfection in the making since its inception, with every step carried out intricately with sheer precision.

You’ve seen them performing at The Whale, you’ve seen them performing at the Lani Kai, you’ve probably seen them performing at volunteer benefits and festivals around town, too. 10,000 Views is a non-stop three-piece rock band that brings high energy, wild skill and super talent to the stage, but one thing you haven’t been able to do is bring a little piece of their music home with you after the show. Well, now you can – be sure to make it out to the Buddha Nightclub, 12701 McGregor Blvd., Saturday night, Nov. 29, as 10,000 Views rocks an all-night debut CD release party to celebrate their latest accomplishment, kicking off at 10 p.m. Enjoy free entry, drink specials and 10,000 Views merch offered at bargain basement prices all night long.

"We've been working on it for a while, recording basic tracks in my studio, Howland Sounds, made more adjustments at Johnny (Hyatt)'s place, Johnny's Woodshed, and mixing with Scooby (Scott Bush) at Timeline Studios," Stet explained. "He did an amazing job his studio has all the bells and whistles, and in my opinion, he's the most up-to-date studio in Florida not to mention he's a top-notch professional, has a musician's ear and all-around wonderful human being."

The 10,000 Views debut album is an all-original piece, with a new/modern metal sound.

"Of all the things I've done, it sounds like something fresh. It's rockin'," Stet said. "The drum production is unbelievable it's huge. The drumming on it is as good as I've done; the production is amazing. Timmy Johnston is an amazing songwriter and Johnny Hyatt is one of the most magnificent guitar players to ever pick up a guitar. Both of those guys, without question, are two of the best guys I've ever been in a band with."

It's always a good thing when musicians in a group collaborate so well together. With that, you know you're in for a good show Saturday night. What can you look forward to?

"Pure magnificence," Stet laughed. "We're gonna leave it all on the stage if there's blood to bleed, we'll bleed it. If there's stuff to smash, we'll smash it. We're gonna leave the place in rubble. We're gonna shake the foundation."

Having a Manhattan-based management company who's worked in the field for decades, Stet is proud that 10,000 Views is able to not only play great live and local venues throughout Fort Myers Beach and the Southwest Florida arena, but hit many festivals and concerts throughout the country and the world.

"The fact that we have major management mandates that we can play major festivals," he explains. "Coallier Entertainment, from NYC, and Danny, my manager off and on for 20 years, has managed WASP, Twisted Sister and Dee Snider, Foreigner, Peter Kriss, Steve Pierce, Angel, all these killer '80s bands and handles our international stuff."

While Coallier plans out the local band's worldly shows, Stet keeps the regional events in check.

"We want to be sure to give a big thank-you to Miss Diane Lawler, owner of the Buddha Nightclub, for setting us up with our very special debut album release party Saturday night," he concluded. "Of all the times people came or didn't come to a show, I'd ask anyone who's ever supported us to be there Saturday night come out, show the support and take home an album."

And, to make things even more fun, the STET TV cameras will be rolling that night so be sure to dress up and rock out. The music kicks off at 10 p.m. that evening, and it's a 21-and-up show.
