Open House

The time during Open House this past Saturday went quickly, and it was a joy to see the many people who participated in the range of mini-sessions and demos, the activities for kids, and the various outdoor seminars and Treasure Hunts and contests. I found it particularly edifying that more came to understand the library expansion and plans and expectations as we move forward.

We have felt so good about the planning for the expansion as being in sync with the community that it was reaffirming to hear the many good comments about looking forward to this growth in library need and service. I personally explained the model or responded to inquiries regarding it between 40 and 50 times, and was delighted with the anticipated joy that many expressed in looking forward to seeing the reality of this gem in our community soon.

Clifford the Big Red Dog spending the day with us was a treat. We enjoyed the music on the landing from Keith Atkins and John Corning as well as on the second floor via Joda Kovach.

Thank you volunteers for making this day possible.
