Guests are welcome at the monthly meeting of the Bonsai Society of Southwest Florida on Saturday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to noon. Pedro Morales, internationally acclaimed bonsai artist and a horticulture teacher at The University of Puerto Rico, will demonstrate and present a power point lecture on an Asian Bonsai Trip.

The meeting is held at the Support Personnel Association of Lee County Building at 6281 Metro Plantation Road, Fort Myers. Raffles of the demonstration tree and other bonsai related items will be held. There is no charge for attending the meeting and reservations are not required.

Bonsai is a horticultural art of growing trees in pots. It had its origins in China and Japan. Information about bonsai and the association will be available at the meeting.

Additional information about bonsai, the association, or the meeting may be obtained by contacting Becky Bodnar at 463-4102, or beckybodnar@msn.com.
