Beach blitz! Beach hotspots offering specials during Super Bowl Sunday

Time to gear up for the ultimate football game of the year, as New Orleans battles Indianapolis Sunday, Feb. 7 during Super Bowl XLIV, taking place at Sun Life Stadium in beautiful Miami, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled at 6:25 p.m. and CBS will broadcast the game live to millions of at-home viewers, while the classic world famous band The Who rocks during the halftime show.

Looking to get out and show your team colors during this year's big game? Well, you're in luck. A ton of Beach hot spots are hosting big blowout bashes during this super, super Sunday.

Enjoy half-price appetizers and five-for-$12 Coors Light buckets from 4 to 6 p.m., just enough time to get your buzz on before kickoff.

The Beached Whale

Since the Super Game is sponsored by Coors Light, the Beached Whale is offering an amazing Coors Light special from 2 to 6 p.m. Super Sunday.

Enjoy 75-cent Coors Light drafts and $3 pitchers, along with regular happy hour specials that run from 3 to 6 p.m., including 99-cent drafts, $5 pitchers, $4.50 wings, $4.95 flatbreads and $4.95 mussel appetizers.

As the Whale's manager Eric says, "Come one, come all! Come get your game face on!"

Lani Kai

The Lani Kai plans to host a big football party upstairs in the Island View restaurant, kicking off at 4 p.m. Be sure to enjoy plenty of food and drink specials.

You can also catch the game on the resort's 14-foot projection screen that hangs in front of the stage by the main bar downstairs.

The Mermaid

The Mermaid will be football central Sunday, Feb. 7, with plenty of beer and drink specials, appetizers to munch on (or throw, if your team doesn't make the play), and all seven TVs showing the game.

Nick and Stella's

For the last 10 years, Nick and Stella's has offered its special Super Game party, reserving your seat and indulging in the all-you-can-eat-and-drink buffets.

Available beginning at halftime, enjoy a wealth of fantastic foods these dynamite chefs have to offer, including roast pork, shrimp, roast turkey, rice pilaf and plenty more, along with the restaurant's world-famous desserts.

The open bar, beginning at kickoff, consists of domestic bottles, drafts and single-liquor drinks (like rum-and-cokes, screwdrivers, etc.). All of this can be enjoyed for $50 per seat. Other football fun includes $1 Jell-O shots, raffles for charity, prizes and more. Walk-ins are welcome to dine off the regular menu. Game seats may be reserved upon availability. Deliveries and to-go orders are available that day, too.

The Sand Bar and Grill

The Sand Bar and Grill's staying with tradition, hosting its fifth annual Super Game party. Set up V.I.P. style, guests purchase their seat for the game, with an all-inclusive, all-you-can-eat-and-drink buffet and bar. For $50, enjoy the plethora of hot and cold foot items on the buffet, as well as all-you-can-drink-beer, wells and calls just no shots.

The party begins an hour before kickoff, which would technically be 5:25 p.m. No walk-ins are available, and spots have been filling up fast. The majority of the bar side is full, but many seats on the dining side are still available. The buffet will close at the end of the game.

Smokin' Oyster Brewery

The Smokin' Oyster Brewery plans to show the game, and during the football fun plenty of food and drink specials will be offered.

Valerie's Lounge

Val's Lounge will be football central Sunday, Feb. 7, with plenty of beer and drink specials, appetizers to munch on (or throw, if your team doesn't make the play), and all seven TVs showing the game.

Yucatan Beach Stand

The Big Game will be broadcasting from all of the TVs in the place, with the whole sound system cranking, so all the grunts, head-butts and cheers will sound like you're really in Sun Life Stadium!

During the game, enjoy $5 appetizers, Bud and Bud Light and domestic draft specials, along with football contests, prizes and more.
