Beach United presents chamber orchestra

On Monday, Feb. 8, Beach United Methodist Church at 155 Bay Rd. will present the third concert in The Hibiscus Series in the Sanctuary beginning at 7 p.m. To receive additional information, please call the church office at 239-463-9656. There is no admission charge and the concert is open to the public.

Fort Myers Power Squadron classes and dinner

The Fort Myers Power Squadron holds piloting classes every Monday in February, along with various other classes – all open and free to the public. Just call for times and reservations. Also there is a dinner meeting the first Thursday of every month and everyone is welcome to come check them out. If you live in paradise, why not enjoy it to its fullest? Mahjong club shows some tiles

Mahjong club shows some tiles The Purple Dragon Mahjong Club that plays at the Island Plaza Shopping Center, 15675-1 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, is having the following events open to the public. Beginner mahjong classes to learn this ancient Chinese game will be held on Monday and Thursday afternoons, from 1 to 3 p.m.The cost is $15 per class.   Refresher classes. If you have been playing for a little while and want to improve your level of play or learn some strategies and skills, this is the class for you. They are be held Monday and Thursday afternoons, 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $15 per class.   Mahjong tournament. For the mahjong player who enjoys competition and challenge and would like to play mah jongg with people from all over Florida, join the group for the mahjong weekend tournament Jan. 23, 24, and 25.
