Mahjong club shows some tiles The Purple Dragon Mahjong Club that plays at the Island Plaza Shopping Center, 15675-1 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, is having the following events open to the public. Beginner mahjong classes to learn this ancient Chinese game will be held on Monday and Thursday afternoons, from 1 to 3 p.m.The cost is $15 per class.   Refresher classes. If you have been playing for a little while and want to improve your level of play or learn some strategies and skills, this is the class for you. They are be held Monday and Thursday afternoons, 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $15 per class.   Mahjong tournament. For the mahjong player who enjoys competition and challenge and would like to play mah jongg with people from all over Florida, join the group for the mahjong weekend tournament Jan. 23, 24, and 25. Sunset Soiree for Volunteers
