Shoreline guided walks: Bunche Beach Preserve

Yard Dogs return with regular shows

The Mangrove Swamp recording artists of the Yard Dogs have returned from their northern tour and will be performing regularly at The Lighthouse Tiki Bar (1051 5th St., 463-9392), beginning Saturday, Sept. 26 and continuing to at least Saturday, Oct. 24. The local swamp group performs original music that they call “Florida Swamp,” as well as plenty of cajun/zydeco rock and roll tunes, sometimes referred to as “Mardi Gras, Island Style.” The band has recorded seven albums, their latest being a holiday collection titled “Christmas With The Yard Dogs.” For more information or to sample some of the group’s work, visit TheYardDogs.com.
